Our Company

We are an independent privately owned company based in the Lake District. Our production and offices are at Tebay, near Kendal just off the M6 at junction 38.

We service four main markets - high quality redwood & whitewood to joinery & furniture manufacturers - timber to the packaging industry - ash mouldings to picture frame makers, and more recently, treated decking components to garden centres.

We import most of our timber through Humber ports and sell home-grown softwood direct from local sawmills. We have many years' experience of importing timber from sawmills in Sweden and Finland, with whom we have had a long-standing relationship.

At Tebay we have sawing, x-cutting & machining facilities available to produce exactly what our customers require. We specialise in grading timber for specific end use. We hold substantial stocks of timber at Tebay and on the quay.

We are a clearing-house for surplus and redundant stocks of timber. We will visit you, value and determine the best strategy to move all surplus stocks. Best of all, we will make a prompt payment to you.

All timber and allied products sold by R H Wilson (Lakes) Ltd are from renewable sources. Scandinavia has had for many years a very strict replanting program, which is being continually improved, as technology becomes available. We are FSC and PEFC certified.
